As was largely inevitable, it seems the Hammers are being ‘snubbed’ or ‘blown away’ or ‘losing out’ – whatever label is given for dramatic effect for being ‘unsuccessful’ in their efforts to sign Johnathan David on a free transfer in the Summer. With the star’s undoubted quality, he’s always going to end to at a Champions League club – what would have motivated him to come to London Stadium when offers were likely coming from Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester United ( champions league?), Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham ( eh?), Juventus, Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain all at one time or another just this week reportedly ‘interested’.
So West Ham are moving fast and appear to have switched attention to a former ‘bad boy’ come good, former Juve and Everton (main pic) striker Moise Kean.
After being kicked out by Juventus, Kean is now having the season of his life at Fiorentina with twenty goals in thirty three games for the Serie A outfit and as reported by Italian news outlet tuttomercatoweb.com is fast heading back to the Premier League. Well known also is his €52 million release clause which, for a quality striker of his ability, is Sebastien Haller money – so definitely do-able at West Ham.
In the mix for Kean’s signature are Newcastle and Arsenal of course – both clubs are looking for strikers as much as West Ham: Good business for Fiorentina who only paid €13 million for his signature last year, whilst he was still struggling with a bad reputation.
With the summer sale of Niclas Fullkrug and several other squad players proposed in several articles today, clearly, West Ham will be starting from scratch to fill their attacking options in the summer.
With no Evan Ferguson, no Ings and probably no Antonio – the Irons will have to push the boat out.
Rather the livewire Kean than – the now much-syndicated story from another former Irons target Brazilian Yuri Alberto.

Yuri Alberto
New claims have emerged today suggesting West Ham have already offered afresh for the Corinthians frontman after their initial pursuit failed in 2022. GeGlobo reporting today that the 23 year old’s agent has fielded new offers – “We’ve already had a proposal from Wolverhampton, West Ham, Betis, Spain”. Alberto is decent enough but lacks the pace and drive of Kean – but at €20 million less, he’d offer West Ham something more attainable.
So, West Ham aren’t losing sleep over the failed David negotiations. Where the new striker will come from – can’t say yet but the signs -still 87 days out of the transfer window – are ‘encouraging’!
ONE SWALLOW DOES NOT A SUMMER MAKE! Honestly, Who dreams this stuff up?! At 25, this guy has failed to deliver at every one of the numerous clubs he has been at. Shoulda taken a punt at €13 million….
Potters big names that will never come as they all want champions league teams Players from abroad barely make it (well the ones we get) I think he should stick with the lower leagues and get more in the likes of Bowen and Antonio They really want to play for the badge
Moise Kean for 50 million 🤣🤣 look at his time at Everton he stunk the place out! If this is the level of our ambition we’d better prepare for loads more West Ham 0 score lines. As Thomas Tusser said a fool and their money are easily parted and it’s tough not to see the wisdom if this link is in any way true, I’d rather have Callum Wilson and I’ve got absolutely no wish to see him here
Moise keen and yuri Alberto is that the best west ham can aspire to? We might as well just play our youngsters as they will be just as good without the high wages
Not losing sleep over not getting David_they will be gutted even if it was a fantasy.
