West Ham must resist all interest in left back Emerson as speculation continues to mount over his Hammers future.

AC Milan have emerged as a potential destination for the West Ham United full-back, according to Sky Sports Italy. We covered the news as it broke yesterday but now it appear to be gaining traction with Sky claiming an AC Milan source has confirmed the Italians interest.

It would be completely crazy to sell the Brazilian born defender at a point when West Ham are rebuilding. Emerson is possibly the only current defender perfectly suited to new boss Julen Lopetegui’s style of football.

The 29-year-old Italian defender has long been admired by the Serie A giants. However, a move to the San Siro hinges on AC Milan’s star left-back, Theo Hernandez.

AC Milan view Emerson not as a direct replacement for Hernandez, but as a potential squad addition. This suggests they would only pursue Emerson if Hernandez departs the club. A significant offer for Hernandez would be required to trigger such a move.

West Ham are currently undergoing a rebuild under new manager Julen Lopetegui, with the recent signing of Luis Guilherme highlighting a focus on attacking reinforcements. Emerson’s future at the London Stadium remains uncertain, and AC Milan’s interest could spark a potential transfer.

Whether Emerson features in Lopetegui’s plans will be a key factor. If Hernandez stays put at AC Milan, it would likely block Emerson’s path to a starting role, making a transfer less attractive for both the player and the Italien club.

The thing is most of the Italian teams are skint and always offer a pittance for players.
Like above, if they offer around 15-25mil, then maybe go for it

Emerson’s future at the London Stadium remains uncertain because his mate Lucas Paqueta’s future remains uncertain. That seems the gist of it as far as I’m concerned.

Everyone has a price, we just haven’t explored what Emersons price is yet.

IF Milan is offering £25mil. and he wants to go there, then I’d be OK with that.
