West Ham can no longer qualify for the UEEFA Champions League after Chelsea beat Leciester City 2-1 last night.
The result means the Hammers can only finish as high as fifth which would guarantee a Europa League spot.
Before last night it was still mathematically possible to qualify for Champions League next season but required Chelsea to lose both games, Liverpool to lose both games or lose one and draw another, for Spurs to lose or draw one game and for West Ham to win their two remaining games to finish fourth.
That chance has now gone but to have a chance up to five before the end of the season is a remarkable feat on its own.
Chelsea’s win over Leciester City may help us qualify for the Europa League, the Foxes now need a result against Spurs on the last day of the season to ensure a Champions League spot. If not Liverpool could relegate them down to fifth place on Sunday.
West Ham can still finish fifth or sixth but need Liverpool and Spurs to drop points for that to be a possibility.
Finishing sixth place in a Europa League spot with Spurs in seventh in the Europa Conference League place would be a fitting end to a great season.
The only reason why we are not in the champions league is because we do not have a centre forward. Whoever is to blame l don’t really care.
We should be in the champions league looking forward to the likes of Barcelona and bayern Munich.
