West Ham Plot Forest Transfer Raid

West Ham United‘s transfer window has taken a turn for the feisty. After Nottingham Forest outbid them for defender Vitao, the Hammers are plotting a transfer coup by targeting a key player from Forest itself – striker Taiwo Awoniyi.

West Ham’s technical director, Tim Steidten, is fuming. Nottingham Forest has emerged as a thorn in his side this transfer window, as yesterday they snatched up Vitao from under our nose.

With a hefty £100 million summer transfer budget allocated for six to eight signings, West Ham is a major player in the market. Their Brazilian scouting efforts, however, have been clashing with those of Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest might find themselves financially restricted by Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR). While they prioritise the Vitao deal, they might be more open to selling other players to balance the books.

West Ham has seemingly shifted its focus to Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi. Awoniyi’s future is uncertain due to injuries limiting his playing time and facing competition from teammate Chris Wood.

While West Ham might not be the only club interested in Awoniyi, the current situation between the two clubs could influence the deal. But a substantial offer would be necessary to convince Forest to part ways with the striker.

I searched this website for any form of CV for Simon Leyland but can’t find anything. Just wondering what qualifications Simon has for writing here. Or did he apply to ‘Write for C&H’ at the top of the page?

you say in this article we have “a hefty £100 million summer transfer budget..”, and yet you posted an article proclaiming that we didn’t get Bruno because we’re skint!!

Can the two positions live simultaneously?

West Ham are ‘Skint’ and £100mil. is a lot of money!!

      Both statements are true(ish)

If Awoniyi decides to go backwards and thinks to sign for West Ham is better than staying at the world famous City Ground I will really lose faith in life itself! !!!! COYR #NFFC

Well your loss is ‘life’s’ loss then….

I appreciate your refreshing view and bias Bud, it’s always good to gain an alternative perspective.

One question, what time does the Nurse come round with your medication?

This ‘nonesense’ is always coming from west ham reporters and fanzines! So that is where it’s coming from. Also every player we’ve (Forest) shown interest in or place an offer on a player, well whadda you know that West Ham try to hijack our negotiations?? Find your own players ffs!!!!!!
