West Ham are set to appoint former Fiorentina chief scout Antonio Tramontano, according to ExWHUEmployee.

The 36-year-old, who rose through the ranks from data analyst to chief scout at the Hammers’ former Conference League final opponents, has been recruited to focus specifically on Italian talent. He will report directly to head of recruitment Kyle Macaulay.

While West Ham have struggled to sign—or sell—players during the first month of the transfer window, significant changes are being made behind the scenes in coaching and scouting.

The Irons are expected to finalise the appointment of Brøndby IF goalkeeping coach Casper Ankergren, with compensation talks now at an advanced stage.

Just yesterday, a West Ham training ground source confirmed to Claret & Hugh that two new coaching arrivals were expected imminently.

With pre-season training set to start in a week’s time, the Rush Green training ground could well be welcoming more new staff than players at this rate.

Started Hammers Chat alongside my partner in crime Geo back in 2014 and brough in to Claret & Hugh by my old mate Hughie to produce videos a couple of years later.

Give West Ham opinions on Sky Sports News and even did a bit of moonlighting on BBC Football Focus.

Sometimes feature on BBC Radio 5 Live and once ate a biscuit in Tony Gales shed.

Connoisseur of salted caramel doughnuts and I love a Sloppy Giuseppe pizza although I'm slightly suspicious where the name came from.

When I'm not moaning about West Ham I can be found walking a dog that looks like a sheep and tinkering with pinball machines.

Are we going to ever employ someone who can actually play and improve the team?
