West Ham Ready for Second Man U Transfer Raid

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to take a major financial hit to offload misfiring striker Rasmus Højlund, with West Ham and Juventus emerging as frontrunners for his cut-price transfer.

According to TeamTalk, the Red Devils are willing to accept a “significant loss” on the Danish forward, who arrived from Atalanta for around £64m plus add-ons in the summer of 2023.

The Hammers recently secured Brighton forward Evan Ferguson on a straight loan deal for the remainder of the season but will be in the market for a striker in the summer.

That striker could still be Ferguson, but with no obligation to buy the player, the club would be foolish not to line-up alternative targets.

Despite high expectations, Højlund has struggled to justify his hefty price tag, having netted just ten goals in 34 Serie A appearances before his big move. Now, United appear ready to move on, with West Ham and the Italian giants vying for a discounted deal.

Our signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United has already demonstrated that many of the Red Devils’ struggles stem more from the environment at Old Trafford than the players themselves.

As a result, it would be wrong to dismiss Højlund as a transfer option, given his undeniable qualities, which likely haven’t been given the best platform in Manchester.

The Hammers will have money to spend in the summer, and Juventus have been struggling to match Premier League clubs financially—evidenced by West Ham beating the Serie A side to the signing of Jean-Clair Todibo

I dont think Højlund will be a success. We need to steer clear

Not very inspiring news. We can get Eric and company’s gross errors? We dodged several bullets by not employing these people before.

We need to be fishing in a different pool. I’m pretty sure we will.

Not sure the comparisons with Wan Bissaka are fair. WB was a proven force in the Premier League before joining Man U whereas Hoijland has looks like a fish out of water in the Premier League. You might get lucky buying one of their cast offs once, trying again is foolhardy and players likeTed McDougall, Luke Chadwick, David Bellion, and Jonathan Spector are proof of this.

We should steer clear of hojlund he’s not clinical enough in front of goal! We should try and sign Ferguson or David from Lille. We don’t need man utds cast offs !

We can forget Ferguson, we are just a shop window.
For a 20 year old, he has already had some worrying injury issues including a torn cruciate.
So, he will either not play much OR he is excellent and scores a few and will probably sell for a fee way outside our price range.
I think we should forget Hojlund – Man Utd willing to take hit – so still looking at around £40 mil ? We need to be sharp with the cash in the Summer window as we need major surgery all over the park. Must be other better value options out there so hoping the new Recruitment team can identify a few decent alternatives.

Would take Mateta for 42 million rather than Hoyland
