West Ham Reject Antonio Transfer Offer

West Ham United have turned down an offer from Brazilian club Gremio for striker Michail Antonio, according to Sky Sports News.

Antonio’s contract was set to expire this summer, but West Ham exercised a one-year extension option.

Despite this, Antonio’s future at the London Stadium remains uncertain as the club actively seeks a new striker. New Hammers head coach Julen Lopetegui might want to retain Antonio, having previously attempted to sign him during his tenure at Wolves.

Antonio has drawn interest from Saudi Arabia and is now receiving offers from South America as well.

Reports suggest that Gremio’s bid to acquire the forward this summer was unsuccessful. West Ham rejected an offer of £500,000 for the 34-year-old attacker in the current transfer window. Even if Sky’s story is true, it is highly unlikely that any Brazilian team would get close to matching Mikey’s current salary.

Antonio is currently participating in the Copa America, where he made history by scoring Jamaica’s first-ever Copa goal in their 3-1 defeat to Ecuador.

Still hearing nothing but rumoured interest, apart from a kid with talent and a free transfer gk, so we must be finished with signing any more players as we were getting a our business done b4 pre season and that’s just 2 weeks away now, all this supposed interest in quality players was just bullshit, if we wanted kilman he, was there for us to sign but sullivan won’t spend unless it’s in the cheap, ffs how can he, still be running a potential giant club when he has no ambition other than to fleece the club.

Worth more than that as a last 20 minute sub, defence or attack, against opposition tired legs.
Warnock says you don’t no what to expect that must be a bonus.
He is noted for his bully boy tactics which can pay dividends sometimes.
Subs bench needs to be stronger than last season.

Get rid good servant but as always sully either to greedy or to tight to spend on a new and younger player I’ll go with the later

I’d take the money anyday !! People rave about him but he was part of our one dimensional style of play under Moyes. Can’t blame him though I suppose as he was only under instructions. Neil Warnock once said ‘ How can you defend against him when even he doesn’t know what he’s going to do with the ball ‘

    • Seriously says:

Yeah, how dare Sullivan not want to bankrupt the club!
