West Ham ribman banned on safety grounds

The Newham Safety Advisory Group says the West Ham Ribman was banned from trading from the Bobby Moore Academy on safety grounds because customers were standing in the road which is closed on match days.

Minutes from the London Stadium SAG on 2nd October  say “Concerns raised in relation to a mobile food trader set up at Bobby More School on the Loop Road with some of his customers standing in the road with live traffic. LS185 will be discouraging this activity going forward for safety reasons.”

The West Ham Ribman has hit back at those suggestions by responding on social media SAFETY??? What an absolute FABRICATION. They mean the loop road where THOUSANDS of fans walk to and from the game. They actually CLOSE the road on matchdays AND THOUSANDS of fans (not all my customers) walk in the road to the stadium – as at EVERY FOOTBALL GROUND IN THE WORLD !!”

  1. Quite rightly the Ribman wasn’t prepared to pay these crooks 30% of his takings;there “excuse” is typical of the disingenuous statements that we are now used to from any organisation associated with the stadium.
