West Ham scouts send to Istanbul

cenkTurkish football media claim that West Ham United have sent scouts to Istanbul ahead of tonights clash between Besiktas and Olympiakos.

The report claims the Hammers have been keeping close tabs on the Turkey international Cenk Tosun in recent months. West Ham scouts will be monitoring the strikers progress tonight at the Vodafone Arena.

However, Cenk may start tonight’s clash on the bench as manager Senol Gunes has so far opted to field Vincent Aboubakar for Europa League games. Aboubakar scored Besiktas’s only goal during their 1-1 draw to Olympiakos in the first leg.

Cenk Tosun has been in impressive form for Besiktas this season and has already scored 19 goals in all competitions – as well as three assists.

The 25-year-old’s volley against Benfica in the UEFA Champions League won the goal of the group stages award.
