West Ham season ticket holders have been receiving emails in the past forty-eight hours announcing a change of policy on concessions.
Concession season ticket holders under the age of 21 or over the age of 66 must now agree to new terms and conditions, upload a copy of their ID and take a selfie to comply.
Failure to do us will result in the digital season ticket not being issued to the supporter the Ticket Office Email claims.
The club has engaged a partner called GBG (GB Group) to carry out this ID process.
S

I already sent proof to the ticket office and have their confirmation that my tickets will be issued…….not happy that they are asking to store photo evidence and id details …..for what purpose?
This is not how you treat loyal customers.
They know we are a minority but I hope everyone protests and refuses to do this blatant and unnecessary invasion of our privacy.
They can stick it as far as I’m concerned they’ve taken my money for a concession ticket for the last 4 years, so they never doubted me then.If they refuse me entry to the matches then so be it. Remarkably they announce this procedure AFTER, we have purchased our tickets.
This change must be another way of squeezing money out of the fans. It’s about time the club started looking after the fans and making the fans excited about receiving emails
The gap between the management and the fans is widening
I’m also in the 1966 seats and not receiving a concession on the ticket price. My online ticket states it’s ADULT /+66
Which allows me to transfer the ticket to whoever I choose.
If I’m forced to do this it will be the last season I ever visit this club run by idiots.
My grandson got a season ticket at four years of age and now they are asking him for id. It was bad enough them asking to scan him when he was a toddler.
No problem with the id but why not at time of purchase.
Not really happy with this due to the concerns raised about the company’s security.
Having had a season ticket for a few years surely the club has this information already on file?
Having had a concessionary season ticket for a few yearssurely the club already has this information on file?
And if you don’t comply they will deny you entry and you forfeit your money.
What a joke the ticket office told both me and my wife that we had reached 66 and was entitled to the concession, it must of been us who purchased the tickets because I paid for them with my own bank card.we have no photo id ,I still have a paper driving licence I have no passport, how do I prove my existence, maybe they don’t want me there any more , after 60 odd years of supporting this club I feel as if I’m unimportant?
I have raised concerns with the WHU supporters’ group about the suitability of this company to profile and verify me as an over 66 season ticket holder. The official email from our club omits a reference to the company’s links to betting organisations while emphasis is placed on their relationship with other PL Clubs as if that justifies employing them. The choice of this organisation is symptomatic of the deeply flawed decision making of the putative leadership of our club. I hope a flood of criticism follows on from this decision. I have absolutely no confidence in the ‘assurances ’ that our data will be secure.
Where is this mentioned in the terms & conditions
After the GDPR breach last week not sure if I trust the club to hold my son’s ID’s
Why don’t they offer us the chance to prove our i.d. at their shops? No need to use a dodgy sounding company then.
This is a good idea BUT the club should let the fans know clearly why they are doing this At the moment theres a clear golf between the owners and supporters This has got to be addressed This discontent works it’s way through to the management then onto the players So this disconnect must stop we should all be pushing in the same direction to be successful So its upto the board now to make that effort COYI
Just when we thought the London Stadium experience couldn’t get any worse 🤦♂️
This GB Group sound as dodgy as Sullivan.
Got car crash written all over it.
I understand that people who declare they are a concession need to prove it – but if GBG ARE AS DODGY as others have said – then a different ID system needs to be used!
My dad (who is 87) has been asked to do this yet we sit in the 1966 seats which don’t offer concessions so it’s a total waste of time. Why would you annoy your (dwindling band of) loyal customers like this? Can’t run a football club or a business it seems…..
