West Ham Season ticket holder Sami Sidhom was murdered outside his home in Forest Gate when four men leapt from two cars to attack him and left him bleeding in the street.
The 18-year-old was returning from the Hammers match against Stoke when he was ambushed at 10.50pm on Monday night. He was treated by residents and paramedics who rushed to help but he died at the scene.
He is the 12th teenager to be murdered in London so far this year, following a surge of killings across London which has seen the Met launch 60 murder inquiries. Sami’s season ticket was located in block 217 in the Sir Trevor Brooking stand of the London Stadium.
Declan Rice said on social media today: “No one deserves to go to a football match & not return home.”
Friends have asked West Ham to hold a minute’s applause in the 18th minute of the club’s home game against Manchester City next Sunday in his memory.
Wow that certainly puts life into perspective, poor kid, condolances to anyone who knew him.
Rest in Peace, young Hammer.
