West Ham share the points with Spurs

West Ham United 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur: West Ham share the points with Spurs

A fabulous atmosphere at the London stadium, reminiscent of an evening game at the Boleyn.

A well deserved draw for the Irons and a much better display than Saturdays second half capitulation.
Typically, the first real Spurs attack of the game and Johnson had the ball in the back of the net. Werner was released down the left and flashed a fierce low ball across the six-yard box which the Welshman diverted past Fabianski and into the back of the net.

That was the fourth goal we had conceded in the last 28 minutes of football!

Nevertheless, the Coufal-Bowen combination down the right was always looking West Ham’s best bet. They exchanged passes again and won another corner. It was West Ham’s third of the game . And from it Bowen curled the corner deep. Zouma rose highest and met the ball, six yards out. It flew into the top left … off the defender’s back…they all count !
The intensity of the game with half chances at both ends began to wane in the second half, Antonio had a great chance with a one on one with the Spurs keeper on the hour but could only manage a weak shot.

Sadly our European aspirations for next year still don’t look that promising despite Newcastle dropping a point. We still remain 7th though
