With the latest reports suggesting Nuno Espírito Santo may actually remain at West Ham United, attention now also turns to his backroom staff, and in particular Paco Jémez, whose contract expires on 30th June.
Based on current reporting, Jémez is open to remaining at the club, but no agreement is yet in place, and until Nuno’s long-term status is confirmed, his time at the club remains uncertain. Jémez previously stated that he was fully focused on trying to help West Ham avoid relegation and that coaching remains his passion, but he also left the door open to staying if “the circumstances and timing are right.”

This uncertainty is amplified by the fact that he only joined Nuno’s staff in January, brought in specifically to stabilise the team during a crisis. His arrival coincided with a dramatic improvement in form, with West Ham collecting 25 points from 17 matches.

Let Paco become the Manager, he has done the job before and he seemed to know more than Nuno how to make West Ham tick.
Personally I’d like to see Nuno go. Starting with 5 defenders when we needed wins was totally bizarre. Add the “tinkering” and you have a manager who is out of his depth. I know he’s done reasonably well elsewhere but not for us. We need a bold dynamic manager who goes for it if we are going to push for promotion. The careful playing safe approach will not yield us the points we need in the championship. ⚒⚒⚒🏴
Just supposing, but there was an uptick in form, change of approach, when Jemez arrived and later I assume NES stopped listening and reverted to his defensive approach losing yet more points to those lost at the beginning. Only those who actually know can say what actually happened.
Concerned NES is a bang average coach but successfully navigates the world of management – Jemez might be a very good coach, not as adept at handling all the rest.
DOF + Jemez might therefore work? Same with Bellamy, while NES + DOF might not plus if other reports are correct, players talk of Jemez as major influence and coach, not NES. Be nice to actually know before committing club to a new management contract.
I believe he should suceed Nuno and get the job as coach forget Parker After Sullivans/Brady last choices that help get us here IE Potter and Lopetigui Paco has done more than any of them even Nuno wasn’t working properly until Paco arrived The team seem to love him but not to keen on Nuno ??? He wants to stay he is a manager in his own right so why not And he is out of contrct which will suit Sullivan down to the ground
I was hoping Nuno would be gone by now, with Paco named as boss. He seemed to bring a different approach to not only training, but morale, players were stating he was a great addition…Maybe give him a go if Nuno does end up leaving?
