The West Ham first-team squad are due to return to Rush Green training ground on Sunday to be weighed and tested after their three week holidays.
They will undergo mandatory COVID testing and health screening, as well as the normal body weight and body composition checks.
All players receive medical and physical testing including cardiac screening. Blood tests and body measurements are taken by medical staff they will undergo extensive fitness testing which forms the part of every pre-season.
Pre-season training starts on Monday under the instruction of David Moyes and his backroom team with less than four weeks before the Premier League season starts again on 12th September.
The Hammers are likely to play four to five pre-season friendlies in the U.K before the season starts proper. The opponents they will face are still under discussion as is whether the BetWay Cup will be played this year behind closed doors.
I don’t know about other people, but with what’s going on the season doesn’t seem that interesting or exciting this year.
No thought of getting tickets or even any excitement about when the fixtures come out. Actually when do they?
Probably be at home Boxing Day this year with no fans!!
