West Hamâs failure to qualify for European football looks set to cost us one of our key players in the upcoming transfer window.
Thatâs the view of a top transfer insider who spoke exclusively to Claret & Hugh to provide insight into the Hammersâ summer recruitment strategy.
Mohammed Kudus, signed from Ajax last summer by Tim Steidten, has struggled to hit top form this season and has failed to thrive under either Julen Lopetegui or Graham Potter. Despite flashes of brilliance, the Ghanaian winger has looked a shadow of the player who lit up the Eredivisie.
Itâs now something of an open secret that West Ham are willing to sellâand when we spoke to our source last night, there was no doubt about the situation.
âKudus is 99% certain to leave. West Ham want to sell, the player wants out, and clubs will want himâso itâs nailed on,â our insider claimed.
âHe left Ajax to play in Europe. So even if you wanted to keep him, it would be hard.â
Yesterday, Kudus was linked with the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, although it’s worth noting that many European clubs would happily take the talented wingerâbut few can afford him.
The exit now seems inevitable. For all of Kudusâ talent, no European football next season appears to be the decisive factor in bringing his West Ham stint to an early end.
Kudusâ dribbling is incredibly impressiveâsome of the best Iâve ever seen. The question is why he often pulls these moves off in midfield instead of playing the ball forward quickly. If Kudus used his amazing technique more often in the box, he could be a world-class player.
A pity to see the most talented players leave (while keeping the less talented ones). It will likely take many years before we enjoy someone as spectacular as Mo Kudus -when he rubs the magic lamp- and fighting as hard to successfully regain and protect the ball.
Crappy coaches ruin players .
We are no longer a football club we are a failing business venture leave the L S and get a 50,000 FOOTBALL STADIUM
Breaking news a new planet has been found its called Potteranus
Only surprising thing here is how many times you can repost the same news in different ways. Clearly just chasing clickbait for advertising revenue. So sad how this site has gone quantity over quality these days.
Kudos moving on from West Ham is hardly ‘news’.
It was mentioned at the time of his signing, this was a stepping stone move, it fits with the ‘Red Bull’ model we have heard form the club.
I will wish him success in his future career and thank him for his (Well paid) service.
Brilliant news ..đback to a selling club ..no fight to keep him then
No much loyalty in football these days. Was a great player for a while but on the plus side we should make a healthy profit and we have a few other wide attacking options. Fingers crossed that we also manage to shift some of the under performing midfield.
Based on this season no loss only shows up for the big teams and is so lazy doesnât track back or press with the others
Letâs hope we get the release clause or a bidding war
Get Carrick back as Chief Coach. He bleeds WHU and is out of contract in June.
I think you’ll find he bleeds Man Utd
“Bleeds WHU”
What utter nonsense you read on here. Where do you find these people?
I couldn’t care less about their reasons. If they don’t consider playing for West Ham as a privilege, then they can make way for other players who would, and would likely put more effort it.
Cracking player that we’ve not seen the very best of, but I don’t think that’s his fault. If the manager can’t find a way to reassure him that he achieve what he wants at WHU, then I don’t have any problem with him wanted to leave. It’ll be a pay day, and Bowen and Summerville, with Guillerme coming through and George Earthy coming back, should be enough.
For whatever reasons he hasnât played to his potential for 18 months or so, he is an undoubted talent and like Paqueta if he wants to be great he should be able to grab a game by the scruff of the neck and change results he hasnât, often on the periphery and his goals have dried up. A fresh start for him with a good payoff for us would be in the best interests of all, similarly Paqueta and Alvarez in honesty would get rid of most of the team and buy younger hungry players that are up for the significant challenge to move us into the top half again.
Potter needs those fresh players and a couple of seasons to change our style.
Kudas Paqueta Fullkrug we wont have anyone left soon Maybe the “head Coach” that doesn’t seem to know where they should play be the first one out the door
Brilliant news ..đback to a selling club ..no fight to keep him then
It’s all very understandable but it will be extremely annoying and disappointing if he ends up at a bigger Premiership club and suddenly switches on again.
He was probably going whatever happened at West Ham as we were a clear stepping stone. His form loss and attitude issues lose us money and makes him potentially more of a bargain. Makes it more annoying still.

Is your source the great Geo who really supports Inverurie Locos fc?
Maybe if the likes of kudus and pacqueta amongst others had applied themselves properly we would have made Europe, on the performances this year what makes them think they’re too good for west ham.
