West Ham United Academy gem George Earthy, currently impressing on loan at Championship side Bristol City, has just earned a call-up to England’s U21 squad. This promotion is a huge boost for Earthy, who made his Hammers debut last season under David Moyes. Unfortunately, his debut was cut short by a severe concussion against Fulham, causing him to collapse on the pitch, and fans feared he might miss the rest of the season. But Earthy bounced back strongly, even netting a memorable goal in West Ham’s win over Luton Town.

After joining Bristol City on loan this summer, Earthy initially found limited opportunities, making brief appearances off the bench. Just as he began breaking into the line-up, an untimely ankle injury in September threatened to derail his progress. This month, however, he’s fought back, starting Bristol’s last two games against Sheffield United and Norwich City, where they handed the Canaries their first home loss in over a year.

The England u21’s will face Spain on Friday, November 15, before traveling to the Netherlands for another showdown on Monday, November 18. These friendlies mark the squad’s first outing since securing their place in the 2025 UEFA Euro finals with October victories over Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

Frank Lampard has been there and done it for us before. Swansea and upwards.

How is Freddie Potts not getting recognition, he is doing so well at Championship Level? Is he too old now?

Shame JLo mugged Sullivan off in his interview saying he’d use our academy players. Double mugged off telling him he knew La Liga players to improve us!

Would have been nice to see Earthy playing instead of Paqueta as he couldn’t be any worse than him!

This season is already over if 🤡 remains until Xmas. Just hope Earthy continues to impress and shine for Bristol City and the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 U21’s.
