Vain hope perhaps, as money is needed now, upfront, but nevertheless does depend on behind the scenes conversations (manager/Kretinsky/DOF) and whether he is regarded as a player that could transform WHU’s team giving them a real possibility of promotion – which he is. Also, he is a player who has the right character, obviously very professional, committed.
Talk of promotion back to the PL in a single season does not go together with the idea of selling every stand out player who has value. Plus we do not have money to pay for top replacements if they all go, nor is this club no. 1 choice for new players right now.

It’s the way of the sporting world now Martin, I watch a lot of international road cycling and it’s all about gels, carbo hydrates, recovery time and making sure you refuel at the right time.
He is a good kid with a great attitude, he stuck with Leeds for a season when they went down, we sadly need to sell so his best years are likely to be somewhere else, he just seems very grounded for his age, whatever his future holds wish him success.

Of the little I saw of U21s, he roams the pitch dropping back, late runs into the box, does not give up and as we all know he scored a few goals. Seems to think about his game. Would be really interesting to see him have a role in the Championship. Goalkeepers are better, defences much tighter & physical every game but now at Championship level might get to see him.
