West Ham Starting XI: The people’s choice

West Ham supporters have backed David Martin to remain in goal with 291 votes from a maximum 296 votes.

The back four top votes are Issa Diop (183 votes) and Angelo Ogbonna (280) in the centre with Ryan Fredericks (230) on the right and Aaron Cresswell (250) on the left.  Arthur Masuaku received (56) votes while Fabian Balbeuna just missed out on (179) votes while Pablo Zabaleta just scored (31) votes.

Declan Rice (295 votes) and Mark Noble (231 votes) are out in front from Jack Wilshere (9) Carlos Sanchez (10)

Felipe Anderson (191)  and Pablo Fornals (213)also get the nod in midfield with Seb Haller on (200) votes up front with Michail Antonio (286) in a possible 4-4-2 formation.

Robert Snodgrass (142) Nathan Holland (70) and Yamolenko (49) fail to make the midfield cut.

That would make the peoples line up against Southampton as: Martin, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice, Noble, Fornals, Anderson, Haller, Antonio.

  1. What formation do those players fit into? They certainly cannot function in a 4-2-3-1 as has been proven this season. The vote should perhaps have included the players AND the formation
