West Ham starting XI: The Peoples choice

With two signings to choose from nearly 200 Claret and Hugh readers have been submitting their chosen West Ham starting lineup.

With almost a full squad to chose from the readers have voted:

Fabianksi gets the nod in goal with 194 votes.

Aaron Cresswell as left-back with 184 votes, Angelo Ogbonna with 10 votes and Iss Diop with 153 form the central defence with Ryan Fredericks with 174 votes at right back.

Declan Rice fulfils his defensive midfield role on 194 but Tomas Soucek has been voted to join him on 193 votes with Mark Noble dropped to the bench with just 50 votes.

In midfield Michail Antonio gets the top vote with 187 maybe to play upfront, with new boy Jarrod Bowen on 177 votes, Robert Snodgrass gets 150 votes to keep his place.

Felipe Anderson with 22 votes and Manuel Lanzini with 4 votes do not make the cut while Sebastien Haller just slips through with an unconvincing 74 votes.

    I agree with johnham if moyes continues to prefer Fredericks at right back when we have a legend like Zabaleta in the squad then he hasn’t got a clue. Also I know mickey Antonio’s favoured position is on the left wing but why doesn’t moyes ever play him at right back thus accommodating Jerry Bowen on the right wing?

    The credibility of this has to be called into question, are you telling me that West Ham fans prefer Fredericks at fb, there are spuds involved in this survey. He is dire and should be no where near the team. Moyes is clueless if he starts him again tomorrow. He will be at fault for at least 1 goal, I don’t know how many more mistakes he has to make to be dropped and he is making Diop look an average player. Shocking management.
