Striker grabs hat-trick
Callum Marshall is hot property. According to a friend, who knows a friend etc, every West Ham under 21 game is packed with scouts from rival clubs looking to assess the young Irish striker.
In his latest performance, Marshall once again showcased his prowess by netting a hat-trick, propelling the young Hammers to third place in Premier League 2. West Ham secured a resounding 5-0 victory over Middlesborough, with Lewis Orford and George Earthy contributing to the score-line.
Marshall’s consistent excellence in the league has been underscored repeatedly. I firmly believe he has outgrown this level of competition and should be rewarded with a place on the first-team bench. Widely recognised as the standout player in the league, Marshall’s potential debut in the first team should not be delayed.
Given the recent struggles of Danny Ings and Michail Antonio, it makes sense to give Marshall an opportunity. After all, if West Ham doesn’t promote him soon, another club might seize the chance to entice him away.
