West Ham supporters have issued a huge hands-off message to Jose Mourinho and Spurs in their reported interested of Hammer Issa Diop.
The results of a Claret and Hugh poll of nearly 1,200 readers shows that nearly 27% of those who voted would not sell the young defender at any price while over 35% of readers would want well over £50m to part company with the French defender.
Nearly 23% of readers would accept the reported Hammers valuation of £50m to part ways with the 22-year-old with 9% saying £40m would be acceptable should a formal bid come in.
Just 5% of readers would take £30m and the remaining 1% would take less than the £20m, less than it cost to buy the player from Toulouse for £22.5m in July 2018.
The centre back is currently being kept out of the West Ham starting line up by an in form Angelo Ogbonna and Fabian Balbuena who came back to deputise for Diop when he was suspended for one game through the accumulation of five yellow cards.
If £50m plus is offered then it would be curious to see what happens…
We are trying to build a future and Diop should be part of that . He is full of promise and to throw that away would be an act of sabotage . And just exactly what would West Ham do with 50million ? . Waste it on has been’s , probably . It would a huge step backwards to sell Diop .
