West Ham take off for China

|

Manuel Pellegrini and his first-team squad fly to China this afternoon with a 14-hour flight ahead of them.

The 23 man squad had only returned from Austria and Switzerland late on Thursday night spending just one day with their families before they packed their bags again.

With China seven hours in front of the UK the squad will need to get over their jet jag quickly as they face Manchester City on Wednesday at the Olympic Sports Centre in Nanjing.

They have a second game three days later at the Hongkou Football stadium in Shanghai.  I wonder whether Marko Arnautovic dare show his face at the event?

The players will return after the final game in the Asia Trophy and will be given a couple of days off with their families before training at Rush Green recommences with another pre-season friendly at Craven Cottage on 27th July against Fulham.

They then fly back out to Austria for their final Pre-season friendly against Hertha Berlin 31st July before returning for the Betway Cup on 3rd August against Athletic Club at the London Stadium.
