West Ham United are actively pursuing transfer targets despite not yet officially appointing Julen Lopetegui as their new manager.
Tim Steidten, West Ham’s Technical Director, is leading the charge on potential signings, aiming to avoid a repeat of last season where they entered the season opener without any new recruits.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano’s twitter account , Steidten is working on bringing in Brazilian centre-back Fabricio Bruno. The 28-year-old is described as a tall, strong defender with good pace and tackling ability.
With the likes of Kurt Zouma and others not impressing, particularly towards the end of the 2023/24 season, an experienced head with pace is just what is needed at the club.. Bruno’s profile suggests he could address these concerns.
It remains unclear whether Lopetegui has any say in transfer targets or if Steidten is making independent decisions. Possibly the latter might be the case, with Lopetegui acting more as a coach who will need to integrate the new signings into his system.
West Ham fans, disappointed with the team’s underwhelming end to the season, will be eager to see a significant improvement next season, regardless of the manager’s role in shaping the squad.
Just had a look at some clips of him playing for Flamengo. Big lad, seems to have good positional sense and looks comfortable on the ball, but saw nothing that made him stand out. If this is a true target, then in Tim we trust?
You just talk about what your told, yes I have heard the rumours, but thats all they are at the moment, Romano says done deal, but apparently he played for his current club last night, and he is playing for them again next Wednesday b4 joining us, let’s hope he doesn’t get injured then, and, also hope that his a, premium bond not a brook bond.
Don’t make them like Mr Bonds anymore. Top player, Top man! ⚒️
