West Ham United have a prime opportunity to reignite their interest in Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, with reports suggesting he could be available for a more than reasonable £21 million this summer. The arrival of new manager Julen Lopetegui further strengthens the Hammers’ case for signing the 26-year-old.

En-Nesyri has been on West Ham’s radar for over three years. David Moyes’ attempt to sign him in January 2021 proved unsuccessful, but the striker remains a desirable target.

Lopetegui, who previously managed Sevilla, shares a history with En-Nesyri. This familiarity and Lopetegui’s reported admiration for the striker make West Ham the frontrunners in the race for his signature. En-Nesyri is believed to be Lopetegui’s top transfer target.

En-Nesyri’s qualities that align with West Ham’s attacking needs:

  • High work ethic and strong runs off the ball.
Aerial dominance, making him a threat in set-piece situations.
Impressive technical skills, offering well-rounded attacking capabilities.
    A Prolific Goalscorer:

En-Nesyri boasts a commendable goalscoring record. He has netted 72 goals in 193 appearances for Sevilla, averaging over a goal every three games. Across his entire career for club and country, he has found the back of the net 112 times.

At a reported price tag of £21 million, En-Nesyri could be a shrewd acquisition for West Ham. This is a potential steal for a proven goalscorer!

He is a good striker and scores easily. The only drawback is that he expects to play regularly and does not react well if you leave him on the bench for several games. Or if you substitute him in the middle of a game. Lopetegui should only buy him if they plan to play him regularly.
