Manuel Lanzini faces a late fitness test for his inclusion in today’s matchday squad after recovering from a knock that kept him out of the game against Wolves. His return could add extra firepower on the bench for David Moyes this afternoon.
Michail Antonio and Delcan Rice are 100% out with injuries while Yarmolenko is also unlikely to return despite being seen running at the open training day.
Today’s game probably comes one game too early for Angelo Ogbonna who is nearing his come back but Arthur Masuauku and Pablo Fornals both returned from their injury problem last week. Darren Randolph remains sidelined with an ongoing hip injury.
With the injuries the West Ham team almost picks itself and there are unlikley to be many surprises at the London Stadium this afternoon.
West Ham predicted XI (5-3-2): Fabianski; Coufal, Diop, Dawson, Cresswell, Masuaku; Noble, Soucek, Fornals; Lingard, Bowen
Subs: Martin, Ballbuena, Fredericks, Johnson, Lanzini, Benrhama, Odubeko
Sadly I suspect you are right although I would drop Noble and play Soucek as CDM with Benrahma in Nobles place or alternatively give Johnson or Diop some experience in the CDM role both of whom could be more mobile than Nobes and have more pace to cope with the Leicester threats. If Noble does play, hope he proves me wrong and we get a result COYI!!!
I feel that this will be a very pacey game and i would only use Mark as a late sub.Starting with Benny is more practicle. Not having Antonio upfront is where i feel is the biggest setback-he was superb in the away fixture. If David moyes gets us into 4th without Mikey and Dec would truely be an amazing feat, lets enjoy the ride COYI
.
Team might be picking itself today (almost) but we still have a bench full of talent. Looking good. Looking promising. Go get them Irons. Do your best – all we can ask.
