Discussions are continuing around colour scheme options for West Ham digital tickets to help clearly identify zones at the London Stadium, minutes from the London Stadium Safety Advisory Group have revealed.
West Ham say they plan to implement these changes for all non-season tickets in the 2024/2025 season, with a phased approach leading to a full rollout to season ticket holders in the 2025-2026 season. The SGSA also emphasised the importance of considering colour-blind accessibility when selecting the scheme.
The new colour-coded digital tickets will help supporters find their seats, as well as help stewards, quickly identify whether supporters are in the right section for the ticket they purchased.
West Ham United started issuing digital tickets for the 2020/21 season. This move was made to reduce personal contact during the COVID-19 pandemic and visits to the ticket office.
It has now become commonplace across the Premier League and doesn’t look like reverting to physical cards anytime soon.
