Minutes from Newham’s London Stadium Safety Advisory Group say West Ham will explore a singing section in Stratford by engaging with partners and other Premier League clubs that have successfully

  • Dave says:

    They don’t want an atmosphere.
As soon as a section started getting known for being vocal next to the away supporters they built a wall to stop it and started throwing people out for standing and singing.
They want 55,000 corporate people there not making any fuss, spending their money on the extortionate food.

    They don’t want noisy people.

The singing section should be the entire Billy Bonds stand
(East stand). The only part of the stadium with no gap between lower and upper section.

It’s something I have mentioned before that one end of the stadium should be converted to an area where fans can get behind the team with chants/singing or whatever. The comparison I made then was Dortmund’s “yellow wall”. It would certainly add more atmosphere in the stadium.

As said in the famous Coke advert “we’re West Ham… we dont sing!”

  • Phil Baker says:

I can just imagine singing and chanting practice on a Thursday afternoon. A Church of England priest leading the chant ‘ Spurs are shit and Chelsea too and Arsenal screw you’ ..

  • West Ham Voice says:

This has been in the pipeline for a while and the singing section is already underway in the Bobby Moore Lower stand

Despite a small number of fans trying to encourage others to sing, it hasn’t really worked so far – especially when there’s not much to sing about on the pitch

  • Hmm says:

Shouldn’t the club be financing these sort of things. What’s £3000. A footballer earns that in one hour.

  • Jake says:

The singing section has got to happen!
