West Ham to register complaint

|

bet-callum-wilson-bournemouth-afc_3182697West Ham are considering an official complaint over the Callum Wilson “goal” which denied them a crucial win at Bournemouth on Boxing Day claims Darren Lewis in the Daily Mirror.

The fuming east Londoners are to make their feelings clear to referees’ chief Mike Riley before deciding whether to pursue the case with the FA.

Wilson later said: “I put a little touch on it, to our delight, but not so much for West Ham”

When questioned by reporters about what touch he got onto the ball, the striker cheekily replied: “Magic.”

West Ham believes the incident should be treated in the same way as it would have been had Wilson dived to win a penalty. Manuel Lanzini received a two-match ban for deceiving a match official and Wilson could face the same investigation if West Ham’s complaint is investigated.

Referee Bobby Madley and assistant referee Simon Long have been vilified for their performances.

No brainer … we should take this as far as possible. Wilson has effectively conned the ref by his own admission . A ban must be administered . We should also take a stand against this referee . So many games are decided by wrong reffing decisions . COYI

  • Muckracker says:

We should go for it….by all means. Diving and scoring with the aid of a hand both amount to cheating, and should be treated the same.

  • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

The FA should have hauled him in for questioning without west ham making the complaint ?
He cheated ! Bent the rules. But the FA will say he made some poor decisions and that they have a difficult job officiating in the prem ! Knowing full well he and other refs do it regular! Cheating , to ban him would mean they agree with the complaint ! I hope west ham put the words , bias , cheat , and bent the rules to achieve the outcome of a result ! Which adds up to match fixing ! vAR is the match fix we need ! This club has been given far to many bad decisions down the years, time the cheats were brought down to earth 😤

  • Frenchie says:

No problem in protesting but we know the FA will close ranks. Refs are teflon coated.

    • JRS says:

Prob so but club should still make complaint bc that was some of the most biased referring I’ve ever seen & thru the whole game.
When even Spud fans agree know its bad
