West Ham Transfer Hunt: Brady, Potter, and Analysts Reshape January Plans

West Ham remain in the hunt for January signings, despite underwhelming transfer updates in recent days.

Claret & Hugh has learned from a source at The London Stadium that Graham Potter has had input in identifying transfer targets. The arrival of Chelsea chief analyst Kyle Macaulay, who has reunited with the former Brighton and Chelsea manager, is expected to accelerate the process.

Karren Brady has reportedly been involved in negotiations for lower-profile targets identified by data analyst Maximilian Hahn. However, as we revealed yesterday, the attempts to sign Angel Gomes have been outsourced to a third party who have yet to tempt the players representatives.

While some have speculated that Macaulay’s arrival might signal Hahn’s departure, Claret & Hugh understands that the club is more than satisfied with the German’s contributions since joining from Werder Bremen.

Interestingly, West Ham’s next opponents, Aston Villa, boast over 20 data analysts, many handpicked by Unai Emery. Instead of operating a one-in, one-out policy for data analysts, West Ham should focus on significantly expanding staffing in this area.

Further behind-the-scenes changes are expected this summer as Graham Potter becomes more firmly established in his role

The West Ham display recently against Crystal Palace at home was quite pathetic. And then, in their next game, they perform well away at Aston Villa and were unlucky to not take all 3 points in a 1-1 draw.
Life as a West Ham fan is never bland and boring!

So, what exactly are “the Germans contributions” that make so much more of a success than, for example, Steidten?

  • Mavded says:

Brady lol wonder if she is still working out her Dalian Atkinson faux pas

LOL, well with so many expert’s now involved with recruitment of player’s it just guarantees disagreement, dithering, indecision and chaos! Which is actually where we are, with the clock ticking to Feb 3, every chance desperation sets in and we end up signing old, injury prone German’s unable to settle! Honestly, you couldn’t make it up!
