West Ham Transfer Window Stalls as Sales Fail to Materialise

As the first part of this most unusual transfer window draws to a close, West Ham have yet to make any significant moves in the market.

The early portion of the window—initially opened to accommodate Club World Cup registrations—closes tomorrow for six days, before reopening and hopefully sparking some real activity.

So far, the Hammers have been quiet. While the club remains quietly confident that Josh Brownhill will accept terms, we were told on Saturday that no other deals are close. A reliable transfer source informed C&H yesterday: “West Ham have been busier than you think, but the targets are not top names and there is no agreement with any clubs yet.”

Perhaps something has shifted over the weekend, but as things stand, progress on incoming transfers remains slow.

The bigger concern, however, is the lack of outgoing deals. While there is still interest in Mohammed Kudus, attempts to move on Guido Rodríguez, Edson Álvarez and James Ward-Prowse have produced little more than “just enquiries”, according to a well-placed source.

West Ham are still confident that deals for Emerson and Tomáš Souček will generate some funds, but there’s a growing fear that sales may be too slow to allow for early reinforcements.

As one insider bluntly told us: “Don’t be surprised if the squad that starts pre-season isn’t vastly different to the one that finished last season.”

Same old same old West Ham. Those in charge couldn’t organise a p*ss up in a brewery! Relegation next season looks ever more likely.

An ‘insider’ quoted on another site saying won’t be signing Brownhill as no better than what we got. Mind you the same source says we have no money to buy before we sell and a ‘tiny bit’ for wages which is strange given all the high earners we have let go. One would almost conclude that you can’t trust much of what is written and be better off just tuning back in when pre season starts.

Just seems so amateur. Everyone agrees we need a huge rebuild this Summer.

The window was a long time coming and the planning seems to be “see what happens”

To put ourselves under the pressure to sell and make it so public means if we get offers they will be low balls and we may well have to accept.

Why not borrow to buy early so that there is time to reduce asking prices if we need to to pay it back?

This has old style West Ham transfer disaster window written all over it with very little delivered . If we don’t lose targets to other clubs we make the club look a less inviting prospect

Crazy “Insider” statement given 6 that finished last season have already departed.
