West Ham are facing competition for one of our top summer transfer targets, according to football ITK Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer expert has reported that AC Milan have submitted an official bid worth âŹ25m plus âŹ5m in add-ons to Club Brugge for midfielder Ardon Jashari.
West Ham are believed to have been chasing the midfielder since Graham Potterâs arrival at the London Stadium.
This follows on from reports yesterday suggesting that the Belgian club had âpolitely rejectedâ an initial approach from the Hammers.
Romano also added that other clubs are interested in the player, including some from the Premier League.
And in the ever-active game of transfer musical chairs, it would appear that West Ham remain in the hunt for Yunus Musahâwhom Milan are looking to offload to help fund their move for Jashari.
Jashari certainly falls into the category of âyoung and up-and-coming,â and under normal circumstances, a âŹ25m deal shouldnât be an issue.
But once again, West Ham seem either unable or unwilling to make a concrete bidâeven for a modestly priced target.

Mmm , now let me think ! AC Milan or that other little club who don’t own their stadium or training ground a little club run by a little man who has no interest in anything but himself, we will only sign players who haven’t done their homework on a club who’s only assets are the players who know in their hearts there are a lot of clubs with more inspiring owners/ manager’s.
When it comes down to it , the club I have supported for 60 years doesn’t have much going for it at all, sorry but apart from a few sticking plasters it’s difficult to see things improving any time soon , certainly not under you know who, hope I’m wrong.
Just having a vent sorry. đđĽ
Man City donât own their ground either – âlittle clubâ?
âŚâŚ..and West Ham do own their own their training ground.
As another supporter of 60 years+ Iâve no problem with people having a âventâ, just wish it would remain credible.
I am sick and tired of reading constant unsubstantiated negativity.
All you Sullivan haters should remember where we are now compared to where we were when him and Gold took over. We were an utter shambles. Weâre not an utter shambles now, weâre a solid and regular Premier League club with a European trophy under our belts who were in Europe 3 years in a row, for the first time ever. The constant slating of a billionaire business man who has kept our club in the top league since his ownership is madness to me. Do you all think we should be outspending the top teams in the league owned by richer people? Heâs backed every manager with funds and now we find ourselves struggling with PSR, like many clubs. Stop acting like spoilt children who donât get the shiny new toy they want and use a little perspective. Itâs so boring to keep reading
Perspective and a degree of intelligence is usually in short supply in posted comments on our transfer business. A welcome change đ.
“we moved so we can compete with the big clubs” well hows that working out for you? you may be happy to play in a souless bowl every other week and an owner whose soul ambition is to just do enough to keep the money rolling into his coffers good on you.
He saw the chance of a Landgrab and took it but do not fool yourself into thinking he or any other board members are the slightest bit interested in doing anything other than just enough to keep us in the Prem and that is there only requirement….Win it forget it? league cup forget that it may hinder our chances of staying up…FA Cup have a go unless we are hovering round the bottom then its suddenly not a priority and the only thing that matters is making sure we do not get relegated.
So praise our wonderful owner for that achievement and buy all the merchandise you want because our club is spiraling but by all means keep the wool over your eyes.
Barry, thatâs just more of the anti Sullivan ill informed nonsense.
You claim his sole ambition is to âjust do enough to keep the money rolling into his coffersâ. Exactly how do you think he is doing that? He doesnât take a salary, doesnât take a dividend and doesnât now receive any loan interest. So how is he getting this money into âhis coffersâ.
Sullivan is sitting on a very, very handsome capital gain but that will only be realised when he sells. That capital gain is dependent on the clubâs value, which in turn is dependent on the clubâs revenue streams, which in turn are dependent on the on field success, i.e. the more successful we are the more money Sullivan will eventually make. Pure nonsense to suggest that Sullivan doesnât want the club to do well.
I said this a few weeks ago..
Clubs know we need to sell to buy. Any bids for our players won’t come in until later in the window, when they know we will start to panic & lower prices. By then all targets will be gone & we’ll end up with kids & the usual ‘big-name’ players wanting a last big pay day.
Unless Sullivan wakes up & starts to make moves, knowing that sales will come in, this season could get ugly very fast, Potter will be gone by Xmas as will our PL status.
Why does it seem that other clubs in the same PSR situation, manage to sell the players needed to comply quickly & still make moves in the window.
I find it hard to believe that our board didn’t factor in a complete car crash season into our planning. Surely after two seasons of relative success, they didn’t suddenly become arrogant enough to think we’re now a top six club & will always be up there?
As a long suffering Irons fan, I’ve seen enough false dawns to know we will never grasp the opportunity when it arrives to really push on.
As ever people canât wait to criticise the club, and Sullivan in particular, but without the faintest idea of what is going on behind the scenes. With the exception of a few âmoney bagsâ teams, i.e. Liverpool, Man City, Man United and Chelsea, who has conducted any meaningful transfers?
We will be targeting a European qualifying spot next season and as such the players we will be considering will be of a certain quality and will have options. However much we would like to get our business done, good players will not jump at the first offer thrown at them by us and will be waiting to see if an existing top 6/top 8 team steps in. That is how we acquired Paqueta, Kudus and Todibo, i.e. once it was clear to them that a better offer wasnât on the table.
How about we just sit back, pour a beer, show some patience and then assess our transfer window, and indeed Potter himself, around Christmas. Give him a chance.
We know DS is doing or not doing deals donât we , same old.
As my dear old Dad used to say âWest Ham look at players, other teams sign themâ.
Nothing has changed ! đŠ
It’s Sullivan again and as always he is scattering interest without intent.
What we have to bear in mind, is that last season we spent heavy on what was sold as so called quality players, but with no game plan for the season ahead. This could be argued as Stiedten’s fault but in truth the final say comes from Sullivan. We ended up with injured, and aging players with no plan on building and growing. It was throw it all in the mix and chuck in Lopetegui and hopefully it will work. That is not how to run a football club.
From media reports and this sites reporting too, it all looks like a similar story. Recruitment personnel have changed but the approach is the same..Sullivan.
If our aim is to get younger players, who to be fair most of us won’t know, then it is a hope that it will work. We have to have faith that Potter and his team have a voice as they will have the job of getting the best out of the players whomever we get. If the choices are wrong, the manager doesn’t feel part of it, then it is all Sullivan and blame cannot and should not be attributed anywhere else.
Sullivan wonât be happy till him and Brady have run this club into the ground all we get is constant lies about how we are trying to sign this player and that player when truth is they donât have any intention of signing any of the players except the ones that no one else wants and are not up to playing in the premier league we seem to be where other clubs dump their has beens and we pay them 3 times what their worth itâs a complete farce
This shambles is going to continue right to the end of the window – obviously no serious planning can happen if the club is totally dependent on selling players to buy anyone.
Unbelievably amateur.
There should surely have been a plan to have short term capital from somewhere to compete in the early window to pay back later if necessary from sales.
As it is we clubs know our situation and will low ball offer and we will be eventually forced to accept. By which time targets will have disappeared.
Sullivan all over it. Itâd be interesting to see how many transfers this idiot has wasted time on and failed to get over the line. Who does he think he is? If we donât start signing soon we will be left with the dinosaurs from last season, minus some good experienced players and some un blooded youngsters with potential. Championship is on the horizon
Still plenty of time in the window to sign players.
For me, it’s only an issue if the manager and his staff have clearly identified players they want. Players the clubs should be able to afford. But, we miss out on them by low-balling, or not bidding at all.
If that’s happening (and it seems it might be), I can only imagine what the doesntonthe moral of the management team.
Still, let’s wait and see, because what other choice do we have?
