Sky Sports Italy are reporting West Ham interest in Nicola Zalewski — although the same report manages to contradict itself.
Zalewski is a versatile wide player capable of operating in several positions. Born in Italy, he opted to represent Poland, the country of his parents, despite coming through the academy ranks at AS Roma, where he was part of the side that won the 2022 UEFA Conference League.
The winger briefly moved to Inter Milan in February 2025 before joining Atalanta, where he has since linked up with former West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca.
Talent That Never Fully Ignited
It would be fair to say Zalewski has yet to fully live up to his early promise, having once been regarded as one of the most exciting young players in Europe. That said, there is no doubt he would add depth and versatility to the squad if West Ham United were able to strike a deal. . . he’s s decent player.
Sky journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported:
“West Ham have made an enquiry into the availability of Nicola Zalewski.
Atalanta have not yet received an offer — it would have to be considered an ‘important’ offer.”
So which is it? We’ve made and enquiry but not an offer? All sounds a bit tenuous to me.
Whether this develops into something concrete remains to be seen, but as with so many late-window stories, it’s hard to get too excited about this stuff.
An enquiry isn’t the same as an offer Gonzo.
It’s Asking how much something is vs offering and amount it f money
Just checked him out on Wikipedia and he seems like he could be worth a try. He’s 23 years old and has played for Poland 33 times, scoring 3 goals. It’s all down to the money I guess. But it’s a yes from me.
