West Ham United are making a move to bolster their midfield options this summer, with Paraguayan youngster Diego Gómez emerging as a potential target.

The 21-year-old Gómez only joined Inter Miami in MLS last summer from Club Libertad in Paraguay. However, his impressive performances for both club and country have attracted attention from across the Atlantic.

Paraguayan media outlet Versus is confident that Gómez will be playing in the Premier League next season, specifically for West Ham United. Their report suggests a deal is all but finalised.

Other reports suggest negotiations between West Ham and Inter Miami are already underway. This move suggests serious interest from the Hammers in securing Gómez’s signature.

Paraguayan media outlets also hint that Gómez’s time at Inter Miami might be nearing its end. A move to Europe seems likely, with his participation in the upcoming Copa América or Olympics potentially providing more clarity on his future and impacting the transfer timeline.

The Paraguayan journalist Wilson González Bronce also adds weight to the rumours, stating “there are negotiations underway” for Gómez’s transfer to the Irons. This further confirms the Hammers’ interest and the possibility of a move.

West Ham United’s pursuit of Diego Gómez highlights their focus on acquiring young talent and with a valuation of only £3 million according to transfermarkt he looks a steal.

But is he any good?

Yawn yawn yawn rumours rumours rumours, let’s actually concentrate on actual transfer that are being concluded for a change I personally don’t believe we will sign a striker why on earth would anyone believe such a thing after so many rumours of we, are interested in this striker and that striker but with no positive outcome in how many windows now. Don’t make me 😂😂😂😂😂

Well I’ve never heard of him as I don’t follow MLS.
That being said, I’d never heard of the majority of South American players that Brighton sign for low fees too. If Hammers are now using data driven scouting analysis to determine suitability, it could be very profitable for the club going foward, then again……..
