It’s the dawn of “El Sackio 2”  today – but looking positively at the game from a Hammers perspective means that there are opportunities for players thanks to the absences of Alvarez and Kudus. Julen Lopetegui will surely be a little more cautious, or should we say conventional – having tried and failed with weird and wacky starting line ups that have failed to stop opponents taking the initiative and usually scoring early on.

In this Saturday prediction we are trying to predict the head coaches’ choice rather than promote our own wishes: This is the side we expect to see not the one we want to see!

Hopefully Jarrod Bowen makes the starting line up after a rumour fuelled week where he has been absent for some training sessions: Pictured yesterday in final preparation we’d hope he starts. Jean Clair Todibo is a doubt having also missed training. However – we’re sticking with:

Fabianski | Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Emerson | Rodriguez, Paqueta,Soucek | Bowen, Summerville; Antonio.

Score Prediction – 2-1 West Ham. Not because we’re good but because Everton are worse.

============

Last Time out we predicted a starting XI against Forest of nine correct from eleven:

Fabianski | Wan Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Emerson| Rodriguez, Alvarez, Paquetá |Bowen, Antonio, Soler

the actual line up was very different as was (that awful) formation:

Fabianski | Wan Bissaka, Todibo, Mavropanos, Kilman, Emerson| Rodriguez, Alvarez, Paqueta |Bowen, Summerville

Martin predicted a 2-1 Forest win so whilst the predicted loss was correct the score projected was overly optimistic!

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.
