West Ham United‘s young loanees have made their mark in their respective leagues over the weekend. Despite facing various challenges, the youngsters have demonstrated their talent and potential.
Callum Marshall, on loan to Huddersfield Town in League One, played a key role in the team’s match against Rotherham United. He was heavily involved in the game, creating chances and coming close to scoring. While Huddersfield ultimately lost, Marshall’s performance was a highlight. The previous week, Marshall had scored the winner against Stevenage and Michael Duff’s side are currently 5th in the league.
Gideon Kodua, on loan to Wycombe Wanderers, came on as a substitute and helped the team secure a draw against Blackpool. Whilst Patrick Kelly, on loan to Doncaster Rovers, also made a positive impact, coming off the bench and contributing to the team’s victory over Port Vale.
Mason Terry, on loan to Hornchurch, faced a difficult match against Weston Super Mare,|The young goal keeper onceding three goals in the first half. However, Terry’s team showed resilience and fought back to narrow the deficit.
George Earthy and Freddie Potts, on loan to Bristol City and Portsmouth, respectively, were sadly unable to feature due to injuries
Several West Ham United loanees will be joining their national teams during the international break.
This opportunity will allow them to gain valuable experience and develop their skills at the international level which will benefit the Irons in the long run.
It’s a fair stretch to say they are shining but give them game time and I’m sure it will happen
