West Ham Unveil New Away Kit – Stylish Shirt With a Hint or Erm . . Green

Following the lukewarm response to the recently revealed home kit, West Ham have given fans a first glimpse of the away version.

The mostly white shirt features claret and black pinstripes on the collar and sleeves. It’ll still set you back an eye-watering £75, but in my opinion, it’s an improvement on the home shirt.

Unfortunately, the bright green QuickBooks logo (seriously, why can’t they just use a black version?) does spoil the otherwise clean black-and-white aesthetic—but overall, the shirt is a bit of a looker, although somewhat similar to last seasons effort.

This will be Umbro’s final year supplying West Ham kits, with New Balance set to take over from next season.

The Hammers’ new kit deal is believed to be worth between £10–15 million per season on a five-year agreement. While that might seem decent, it’s a drop in the ocean compared to Manchester City, who have just signed a staggering £100 million per season deal with Puma.

Hammers Chat my first game was West Ham 10-0 Bury . . . seriously!
We than went and bought Bury's central defender 😬⚒️ Irons

Started Hammers Chat alongside my partner in crime Geo back in 2014 and brough in to Claret & Hugh by my old mate Hughie to produce videos a couple of years later.

Give West Ham opinions on Sky Sports News and even did a bit of moonlighting on BBC Football Focus.

Sometimes feature on BBC Radio 5 Live and once ate a biscuit in Tony Gales shed.

Connoisseur of salted caramel doughnuts and I love a Sloppy Giuseppe pizza although I'm slightly suspicious where the name came from.

When I'm not moaning about West Ham I can be found walking a dog that looks like a sheep and tinkering with pinball machines.

No imagination whatsoever. Umbro just proving why it was the best decision to let them go as kit supplier.

its the same as the away shirt from a few seasons ago, i have bought all the shirts we have brought out for well over ten years now, but while sullivan is still at our great club i wont be buying any more shirts

Awful away kit in my opinion. Just plain boring. Soneone took months to create this kit and its just plain white with claret on the end of the sleeves. At £75 a pop i cannot see this one flying off the shelves

I’m sorry…. Is this not the exact same away shirt they churned out the season before last?!
I know it’s fashionable to release updates on retro shirt designs….. but 2 years?!

  • Vince N says:

This is dire. Looks more like a Spuds kit. Why not have claret trim or even sky instead of navy?

    Are we Fulham in disguise?

Kits are all about opinions…Personally i like the home shirt…I would have loved the home shirt if they just added blue sleeves. The trim and collar are ok..But thats just my opinion.

The away shirt is good ..It works with the shorts and socks…As does the home kit…

I will try them on…I will make an honest opinion of what they look like….I will then put them back and walk out of the shop…

Way better than the really awful home kit.

  • TelBoy says:

The club says that the shirt is ecru… as in the 90’s away shirt. Certainly looks white in the photos.

  • Ian says:

Much nicer than the abomination that is the home shirt.

The away shirt leaves a bit to be desired but I guess it’s a individual thing you love or you hate it but either way we have got it now till the next change in the design of our shirts it would seem that Sullivan wasn’t happy selling kudus to spurs but he wants our team to look like spurs on the pitch sooner Sullivan Brady and co sell up and get out of our great club the better
