West Ham need to make the most of home advantage against a Bournemouth team in worse form that the Hammers: Just four points from their last six games has halted their previously excellent season.
The Hammers will be keen to expunge the memory of Tuesday night’s weak capitulation to 17th side Wolves who are now in danger of overtaking the Irons. Three points for Graham Potter today will calm the anxiety around the club and at least cement West Ham’s ‘safety’ in 16th spot.
Surely Potter will stick with the three up-front option? Ferguson and Fullkrug can again share the centre-forward duties. However, fit – again Mohammed Kudus will hopefully resume his attacking duties on the left in place of Luis Guilherme. Many pundits have suggested that West Ham need to move to a more aggressive 4-3-3 style rather than the constant defensive five at the back option.
Our predicted starting eleven: ( or maybe wishful thinking has got in the way this week..) 4-3-3
Areloa | Wan – Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Emerson| Alvarez, Paquetá, Soucek, | Bowen, Ferguson, Kudus
Martin mighty 1-0 West Ham win
Matt 1-0 West Ham
Gonzo 0-0
Sean 1-2 Bournemouth win
