West Ham v Bournemouth | Lineups, goals, result – predictions

With Freddie Potts suspended and Jean Clair Todibo available again after a three match ban, Nuno Espírito Santo faces selection dilemmas in crucial positions this afternoon’s Bournemouth come to visit with West Ham desperately needing to upset the form book and beg or steal borrow three vital Premier League points.

Quite how Nuno sends the Hammers out is more likely to be influenced by the loss of Pablo through injury – meaning the recent high energy four at the front  deployment that has been a hallmark of West Ham’s recent success will be absent this afternoon with the Irons reverting to something like a 4-2-3-1 staring line up.

Our ‘best guess’ as the the eleven is as follows:

West Ham United

Hermansen | Wan Bissaka, Disasi, Mavropanos, Diouf | Soucek, Fernandes | Summerville, Taty, Bowen (c) | Wilson

Score predictions

Sean 2- 0 West Ham (with Forest losing 2-0 Sunday so Hammers out of the top three before Monday)

Gonzo 2-2

Martin:  Head says 2-0 Bournemouth: Heart says 2-1 West Ham

Matt 2-1 Bournemouth

We’ll have Nuno’s published West Ham United line up at 4.15 so check back then for the home side details

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Bournemouth are on good form, I think we’d do well to win, more likely a draw. 1-1 Gonzo’s 2-2 is very possible. No pushover.

I hate the 4-2-3-1 we always leave our strikers stranded alone up front.
I’d be willing to take a pint on the 4-4-2 with Traore playing in place of Pablo.
Yes! I am well aware that he is not a central player. And YES! I am aware that he couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn with a banjo.
But he could draw defenders and open up pockets of space for Bowen and Summerville.
