West Ham v Chelsea debriefing

police2ClaretandHugh attended a meeting with the Metropolitan Police football unit yesterday in Lambeth as part of a debrief about the policing and security on the night of the West Ham v Chelsea EFL Cup match.

The supporter meeting arranged by Football Supporters Federation case worker, Amanda Jacks included representation from operators London Stadium 185 and as well as the  Supporter Liaison Officer from West Ham who joined just three days ago.

From the supporter side two members of the Chelsea Supporters Trust, the interim chair of the newly formed West Ham United Independent Supporters Association (WHUSIA) and a former member of the club’s Supporters Advisory Board (SAB) were also present to listen and ask questions over the effectiveness of the policing and stewarding on that evening .

ClaretandHugh are now associated with the Football Supporters Federation (FSF) with our registered website members now exceeding 50,000 and we were proud to be invited and represented at the constructive supporter meeting by our associate editor.

In the coming days we will bring the key findings from the three hour meeting and what is being done in the future to tackle any further anti social behavior by home or away fans at the London Stadium.
