West Ham United‘s rebuild under Julen Lopetegui and Director of Football Tim Steidten is in full swing. In their search for reinforcements, they’ve set their sights on talented youngsters, with a particular focus on homegrown players to comply with Premier League regulations.

West Ham has been linked with several promising youngsters, including Marcus Edwards, Angel Gomes, and Max Kilman. They’re also exploring options in the Championship.

As we reported yesterday, the name that has recently caught the eye of West Ham scouts is 17-year-old Port Vale forward Baylee Dipepa.
Dipepa impressed at the U17 European Championships, drawing comparisons to Palace star Michael Olise with his playing style. He even found the net in England’s opening match.

Despite his young age, Dipepa’s talent is undeniable. He became Port Vale’s second-youngest scorer last season and is clearly too good for League Two.

While no transfer fee has been reported, interest from multiple clubs could inflate the price.

If West Ham can win the race for Dipepa’s signature, they might have unearthed a player with similar talent to Michael Olise, but at a fraction of the cost. This would be a significant coup for Lopetegui and Steidten as they embark on reshaping the West Ham squad.
