West Ham Vote Today to Decide Nuno Future

According to Hammers insider ExWHUEmployee, West Ham’s board are set to effectively vote on whether Nuno Espírito Santo should remain as manager.

Updates late last night indicated the hierarchy are split over the decision, with Daniel Křetínský reportedly keen to retain Nuno following the club’s relegation to the Championship.

However, Ex also claimed that “others prefer alternatives, like Scott Parker.”

Exactly who those “others” are remains unclear.

Questions Over Who Really Holds Power

After all, it would seem strange if Vanessa Gold is heavily involved in deciding the future direction of the football club considering the family are still expected to sell their shares.

One would expect Albert “Tripp” Smith to have some involvement in the process, but it also raises the question of whether Sullivan’s sons, Jack and David Jr, are influencing the decision too given their positions on the board.

A final decision is expected within the next couple of days and, honestly, the outcome may tell supporters quite a lot about who truly holds the power behind the scenes at the London Stadium.

Křetínský Position Appears To Have Changed

Interestingly, Křetínský now appears to have shifted significantly from his earlier stance regarding Nuno.

Earlier this season, reports suggested the Czech billionaire voted against the Portuguese manager’s appointment following Graham Potter’s departure.

Now, according to ExWHUEmployee, he has been left “highly impressed” by Nuno’s work since taking charge.

However, having spoken to a source with good contacts inside the club this morning, Claret & Hugh were told:

“I still think Nuno will leave. Sullivan wants him gone.”

At the moment, it increasingly feels like West Ham’s next managerial decision may come down to which power bloc wins the argument internally. The patients are still running the asylum.

Sullivan should be gone. Every decision he makes is a poor one. If you want proof of that just look at what division we are in football wise and financially

If the board cannot even agree on this then we are doomed to do a Leicester

I’ll take Kretinsky’s judgement over Sullivan’s any day of the week

The club has just put out a statement saying that Nuno is staying. Looks like Sullivan might have been outvoted.

We shouldn’t keep Nuno but also no to freaking Parker.

    O’Neil or Rosenior for me.

Since we dont have ambition to hire someone like Adi Hutter or Roger Schmidt

  • Jimbo 2 says:

Even if he stays mate, how can you have this being played out so publicly. It’s so West Ham since Sully has been in charge. Remember O’Neill?

He can’t stay knowing half the board didn’t want him there. And if Sully is still involved and doesn’t back Nuno the. he’ll do his best to undermine him at every turn.

I’d like to see Bellamy in charge but that won’t happen.

anyone that wants him gone are being purely reactionary he’s the best option we can have in reality as he got wolves promoted and helped them survive in their first season in the top flight while the options people are begging for always fail to keep a side in the prem
