An Independent Regulatory Commission heard the appeal on Friday and decided that Sam Allardyce and West Ham were correct in challenging the dismissal of Adrian by referee Craig Pawson for denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity.
Adrian’s one-match suspension has, therefore, been withdrawn with immediate effect and the 28-year-old goalkeeper is now clear to play in Saturday’s FA Cup fifth round tie at West Bromwich Albion.
Adrian immediately tweeted “Great work by the Club winning the appeal against my red card on Wednesday game Ready for tomorrow #coyi”
Some bright news this afternoon then 😉
Good news, now Carroll is injured we could use Adrian also as a striker… One thing is quite clear: he knows very well how to kick penalties…
This is great news that occasionally we do get justice but the best part for me is that the anti West Ham shaven monkey Martin Keown was proven wrong on MOTD on Wednesday night,he suggested that Adrian was right to be red carded for being reckless as if that was a rule. Fair play to Phil Neville for seeing/saying it exactly as it was.
So we should never have played all of hat time with ten men ?
Good news for The Cup shame about Carroll, now let’s hope BFS just plays the diamond with Cole on the bench and if Nolan plays I will live with it for 1 more game.
