West Ham women set for bumper crowd at London Stadium

West Ham women are set to sell and give away 23,000 tickets for next Sunday’s game against Spurs women at the London Stadium.

A club insider confirmed to Claret and Hugh this morning vis Email that around 23,000 tickets will be issued for the WSL match with thousands of complimentary tickets also given away to local schools.

The club are paying London Stadium owners £40,000 in costs to stage the game but that figure would jump to £140,000 should the capacity go above 23,000.  Westfield receives around £50,000 to fund fencing and stewarding around the shopping centre.

The Hammers are expecting a good family and community atmosphere next Sunday and it will be a very competitive game as Spurs women are around the same level as the West Ham women.

After two games West Ham women are fifth in the WSL table above Spurs on 3 points after one win and one loss.

Some tickets remain av available for next Sunday at £1 for season ticket holders, £2 for non-season ticket holders with kids going free.
