West Ham Won’t Up Bruno Offer

West Ham United‘s pursuit of Brazilian defender Fabricio Bruno has hit the buffers, according to the Mirror.

The Hammers had reportedly agreed on a transfer fee with Bruno’s current club, Flamengo. However, negotiations stalled when the player rejected West Ham’s initial contract offer. The sticking point seems to be a lack of significant increase in salary compared to what Bruno currently earns.

The report suggests talks have “broken down,” but leaves the possibility open for West Ham to revive the deal with a more lucrative offer.

For now, Bruno will stay with Flamengo.

This setback leaves West Ham’s defensive needs unaddressed. The Hammers conceded a significant number of goals last season, and fans were hoping Bruno could help shore up the backline.

While missing out on Bruno is a blow, the transfer window remains open, offering West Ham time to identify alternative defensive targets. However, some fans will undoubtedly be disheartened by this early setback in the club’s summer transfer plans.

Nevertheless, we have yet to hear an official statement from the club

Claretandhugh are still twittering on about greed of his agent etc etc etc can you not understand the big mistake is with the club board. for not being sensible about equality of
their players …so if this is the real reason . GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER !!!

WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON !! I’ve already complained this week that l suspect you are trying to
take your readers for a ride and here we go again. you reported that BRUNO wanted between 3.5m and 4.5m ,and west ham would not increase their offer, therefore presumably ,their offer was below 3.5m. west ham’s average defender’s salary is a tad under 5m.( first team of course). my conclusion is that west ham are trying to get BRUNO ” on the cheap ” which would be stupid because he or his agent will know the going rate ….or there is something else going on . and trying to blame BRUNO for the collapse in negotiations .WHICH IS IT?

I have to agree with you, Bruno is currently on £52k a month……..just over £600k a year….for him to turn down the offer to play in Europe due to as he says the salary offered was
” Similar to what he is earning now”
His comment about disrupting his family life was reflecting on the low salary offer and said “why would I disrupt my family life, move to a city that has a lot higher cost of living for the same salary I earn here.”
I think someone needs to look at the money men at the club rather than Bruno

Did Bruno or whu not know there was an addition to the family expected before Steidten got on plane to Brazil?

Well maybe a good decision. I would rather younger hungry players that fit the UK quota instead of mercenaries like we have had in the past.

How much revenue did u get for putting a link to the Daily Mirror in the story? More speculative clickbait trash from this website!

  • Jellied Eel says:

His wife is pregnant and he won’t disturb his family by moving to London. I’m glad; I wonder how many yellow cards he’s been given? I would prefer some young British players.

  • John Ayris says:

This depends more on what his current wages are than on what was offered.

  • Delboy says:

Let’s not overpay for players or their wages. Look at Danny Ings. We must have offered a wage that meets our current structure. Move on
