West Ham: Worrying new Jean-Clair Todibo claim emerges

Image for West Ham: Worrying new Jean-Clair Todibo claim emerges

From his arrival at London Stadium, Jean Clair Todibo has had his troubles. Fitness issues to begin with and then the much -leaked dressing room bust up with Julen Lopetegui with the player being dispatched to train wit the under 21’s as punishment for his transgression.

On the pitch, when he’s been fit, Todibo has put in impressive performances but he’s not had the consistency one would have hoped to see form a £30 million plus player who is, in actual fact still on loan at West Ham until the end of the season when the Hammers must stump up the remainder of his £27 million fee after the initial loan from Nice ends.

Todibo has been linked frequently with an immediate ‘flip’ between the Hammers and Manchester United with West Ham collecting a quick profit: Nice and Manchester United are both under the same ownership so a straight sale from on eco the other was forbidden by UEFA rules.

News this afternoon from ‘Mad Dog’ Martin Allen speaking with West Ham Zone claiming a major fall out between Todibo and new Manager Graham Potter. “You hear rumours that he fell out with Lopetegui,”

They didn’t get on and had a fall out and now you hear rumours of the same thing with Potter. He didn’t play at Wolves.  He’s come back in for Mavropanos who hasn’t been great but has been playing ahead of him.  I can’t imagine their going to pay £35m for him.

I must admit to a sense of dejà vu on reading this: Todibo went on record via his instagram account the last time he was reported to be ‘at odds’ with the hierarchy, back in December- replying to one fan asking him to stay:

“I’m not going to leave big man, West Ham are Massive –  don’t believe the media”

We’ll be in touch with our top source inside West Ham and see if we can shed any light on this reported ‘falling out”

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970.. Don't take my comments too seriously, imagine we are having a chat at half time over a pint at L S and "let's disagree without falling out".

Sell Todibo Tomanu and it’s a nice little earner. Lovely jubbly. £££

Being totally honest here,if we sign him which we are contracted to at the end of the season, then if we did sell him on for a little profit I’d be more than happy…..
The geezer never really wanted to join us in the first place and he hasn’t really impressed me when he does play, makes bad decisions and he can’t last 90 minutes even at this point of the season,so if we sold him to add money to the kitty to make us a stronger, better squad then that’s a sacrifice I wouldn’t lose any sleep over…

Does anyone actually believe this, no direct quotes normal clickbait sites repeating each other.

Lopetegui was a poor communicator, I can imagine people falling out with him. But Potter isn’t, he’s extremely clear. If Todibo has fallen out with Potter too then it’s pointing toward an issue with Todibo.

The question is whether Todibo has fallen out with Potter – Potter gave a very clear account of why Todibo didn’t play against Wolves – I listened to Mad Dog on BBC radio London commentary vs Bournemouth and he was going on about how Alvarez blanked Potter after being substituted – it is almost as if he (Mad Dog) is going out of his way to find problems at the club

If they have fallen out then perhaps Potter will agree to selling him to Manure – if not then he will remain a West Ham player

Let us wait and see what the real situation is at the end of the season – there is nothing that we can do before then in any case

Westham have an obligation to buy Todibo and so that’s done . Would Westham flip him for a very small profit ? Unlikely . If Man United came in with 50 million , perhaps .

As if mad dog knows anything. He was even saying recently kudus is off to Leeds United if they come up .
