West Ham Head of Recruitment Kyle Macaulay is said to be working ‘flat out’ in an effort to get the Hammers ready for the summer transfer window.
The right-hand man of Graham Potter has been described as “impressive” to Claret & Hugh this morning, and it is understood he has set about contacting as many people as possible to get ahead of next season.
Macaulay was previously Head of Data Analysis at Chelsea, which was a promotion from data analyst alongside Potter at Brighton.
West Ham paid £1 million in compensation to the West Londoners to secure Macaulay, who is having to make a big step up into the world of player recruitment. However, C&H has learnt that he has been busy networking and has arrived with a broad database of players.
Macaulay is understood to be meeting as many people as possible as he gets to grips with his new role and, alongside Potter, is said to be excited for the transfer window.
With little or no money for transfers, the new duo are going to have to wheel and deal, with significant exits expected. But both Potter and Macaulay have taken an active role and spoken to players and agents directly to try and get a head start for next season.
So this is another non news story. Head of Data Analysis does some networking and arrives with a broad database of players. Isn’t that the absolute minimum that we should expect from someone in this role?
little or no money, joke FC. You lot must think us genuine fans are mugs. Sucking the club dry they are. Your just as bad for peddling the BS
