West Ham’s shareholders can inject up £90m cash this summer should they decide to do so.
Premier League owners are permitted to inject up to £90m over three years to count towards PSR, the last time that happened in West Ham was 2021 when Daniel Kretinksy invested into the club.
This would be achieved by a rights issue by selling additional to existing shareholders.
This cash injection could be shared equally with each shareholder paying a percentage, or there could be a rights issue where one or more shareholders inject the cash, and the others dilute their shareholding in West Ham. A West Ham insider exclusively told Claret and Hugh last week “We’ll inject funds if needed/allowed and solves a problem”
If one or more shareholders decide not to inject cash by buying additional shares their current shareholding would then be diluted.
In that particular scenario, it would see Sullivan shareholding reduced to around 31%, Gold family reduced to around 20%, Smith down to around 6.5% and others down to 0.5%
There are multiple scenarios based on which shareholders decide to buy shares
Don’t understand the gloom and doom –
We want to stay in the Premier League and mug you off for every penny we can.
What is your problem – you get to see the n best players in the world.
Stop splitting hairs just because they all play for the other Team.
West Ham’s shareholders can inject up £90m cash this summer should they decide to do so.
Should they decide to do so being the operative words.
There’s been so many foul ups and frankly daydream claims of bids that my enthusiasm is just about rock bottom. I have very little confidence in anything that’s said or done.
Could be the start of Kretinsky taking control of the club. Can’t see a businessman like that putting extra in without some certainty that it will be managed properly.
It’s wrong for West Ham to be spending 90m in the current financial climate. We should make due with what we have. If this money is available we should donate it to the homeless.
Only kidding, but west ham are very poor in getting the right players, even if they want to come here.
Why not have a policy of home grown talents only, recruited from Greater London and surrounding surrounding counties.
And only serve Traditional food pie and mash, jellied eels,
Irrespective of what happens, can’t see beyond a relegation battle.
We desperately need new owners to come in and put this club up where it belongs.
Sick of teams like Fulham, Bournemouth and Brentford to name but a few making us look mugs.We keep limping along, no ambition but I think fans have now had enough.
The three aforementioned clubs together get a total lower gate than one West Ham home game.
Abysmal……
Could be the start Kretinsky taking control of the club. Can’t believe a businessman like that would put more money in without some certainty that it will be managed properly.
Really ???
Even if a cash injection was too happen no doubt we will go in with embarrassingly low ball offers which will be rejected, consequently we will lose out on our targets.
Tin pot run club these days
Well this situation will take 12 months to decide wont it?
Sully wants to be the Big boss so he doesn’t want to lose control but won’t put money in.
The rest? Well it’s run like the paper company from the Office, so more mucking about.
Kretinskys put the money in . Anything else is laughable. Maybe just maybe west ham United are on the way to being the club it should be .
At last , Westham’s owners are realizing that a Championship club is worth a lot less than a Premier League club . They’re one month too slow and behind everyone else and so now comes the traditional Westham scramble for players who won’t now get the bedding in period that is preseason . Better late than never , but what a child-like botch job . Potter already has his excuse for a poor start to the season .
