You know that I write a column on that site, that I post there regularly and that I call quite a few of people on there my mates and friends now after meeting them not just online but in person on matchdays.
It was due to this that I got offered a ticket for our final game at the Boleyn at short notice which was a very massive and humbling gesture for this German Hammer.
I don’t need to tell you what a day I had.
I reckon most of you would have had a great time too if you had been with me and my little group of people, no matter which forum they use.
Let me make one thing crystal: Calling fellow fans names or insulting them in a personal manner is not on, regardless who does it. Some call it banter, but I draw the line at personal insults and name calling, again regardless of who does it.
My principle: Don’t say anything online you wouldn’t say to a fellow fan in the street or pub (or pie&mash shop). I don’t post on here a lot, but I read the articles regularly and I’m certain most of you are good lads in real life when you are not behind a keyboard.
Mock as much as you like: I can’t vouch for everybody on WHTID/Wetpants, but having met most of the regulars in person now, sharing matchdays, pints, pies and laughter I can only tell you I’d walk through brick walls for those people.
Yes, WHTID is a bit different which is why many people like or even love it (and others probably hate the guts of it) – I’d just like us to remember that we all support the same club after all. I know some of the stuff happening between sites is just banter.
Just try to remember that there are good and bad people everywhere, including West Ham blogs and forums. Just because some users like to mock or cause friction it is not represenative of the vast majority of people using a particular site.
Enjoy the final game at Stoke lads and you may start mocking me now.

It was due to this that I got offered a ticket for our final game at the Boleyn at short notice which was a very massive and humbling gesture for this German Hammer.
I don’t need to tell you what a day I had.
I reckon most of you would have had a great time too if you had been with me and my little group of people, no matter which forum they use.
Let me make one thing crystal: Calling fellow fans names or insulting them in a personal manner is not on, regardless who does it. Some call it banter, but I draw the line at personal insults and name calling, again regardless of who does it.
My principle: Don’t say anything online you wouldn’t say to a fellow fan in the street or pub (or pie&mash shop). I don’t post on here a lot, but I read the articles regularly and I’m certain most of you are good lads in real life when you are not behind a keyboard.
Mock as much as you like: I can’t vouch for everybody on WHTID/Wetpants, but having met most of the regulars in person now, sharing matchdays, pints, pies and laughter I can only tell you I’d walk through brick walls for those people.
Yes, WHTID is a bit different which is why many people like or even love it (and others probably hate the guts of it) – I’d just like us to remember that we all support the same club after all. I know some of the stuff happening between sites is just banter.
Just try to remember that there are good and bad people everywhere, including West Ham blogs and forums. Just because some users like to mock or cause friction it is not represenative of the vast majority of people using a particular site.
Enjoy the final game at Stoke lads and you may start mocking me now.

I said calling names and insulting fellow fans should not be on, regardless who it is and what site he usually uses. I fully agree that being called Rabid Dogs or Morons is pathetic and I absolutely don’t condone that.
It’s not about being on a high horse either, I am aware that we have some fruitcases on WHTID and believe me, we are certainly not all best friends with each other over there.
That’s all I’m saying, there’s good and bad guys everywhere and I just hope that people would focus on discussing our club and our games rather than picking verbal fights with posters from other sites.
This applies to my fellow posters at WHTID just the same of course.

Fair enough H,as I said I have always found you to be a good geezer when you have come on here but I find it hard to have much time for fellow fans who called me ignorant, a moron & illiterate.Trust me we only started taking the piss after being called these things as well as Rabid Dogs..Don’t get me wrong I am far from highly educated but I ain’t a brainless moron with a less than double figure IQ.

I had this conversation meself yesterday with a mush who came here calling the lads here morons.He got in the conversation about Westhamtillidie & why the young rascals on here make fun of some on that site.I asked him as I ask you now HamburgHammer,how much respect would you have yourself for a site where users have called you illiterate,moronic & ignorant pigs.Now me meself I would have no respect at all & I would then take the proverbial as well.I have never liked this My shit doesn’t stink attitude.

The issue has and always will be the way that your select crowd drum people of that site for daring to speak out and having an opinion or the fact that if some of the so called select few throw a hissy fit because god forbid someone dared to upset them and then there rounded on by the rest of the foot soldiers. Maybe just maybe Wet Pants shouldn’t take itself so bloody seriously, shouldn’t spout about being the legends destination of choice and actually realize its a bloody football forum and not a pulpit for certain individuals to dictate to others.
Your anger is justified, i’d be royally cheesed off if someone called me a rabid, dog, moron or whatever. I reckon it is easy to tar everyone with the same brush though when in reality people are still different, both on WHTID and C&H.
I don’t want anyone to associate me with certain posters or comments on WHTID, same as you probably don’t want to be associated with what some guys on your site come up with.
I’m not naming names, but believe me: The guy that has been responsible for some of the insults towards your site doesn’t have a lot of fans at WHTID either.
Some opinions I read posted on WHTID make me shake my head in disbelief or pity the originator of certain comments.
I can only vouch for the WHTID posters I met in person and it is those people I will go through brick walls for.
Not the guys who dish out insults left, right and center without having the guts to show their face to fellow posters on a matchday or on their avatar pic.

HH that same person was barred for speaking out against one of the illustrious ones wasn’t he, then returned as a hero by those that stuck the knife in when he was away? Wasn’t Gobby was barred for speaking out against another? Wasn’t SamP45 ripped to shreds because he dared to disagree? I dont know how many others there’s been but the pattern always seems to be the same, upset certain individuals and your fucked off to Coventry and they have the cheek to call C+H the rabid dog sanctuary? At least here you can have an opinion without the threat of barring because you upset the chosen one or two.
