West Ham are expecting to make a loss of between £75m and £80m this season, with the final figure dependent on their finishing position in the Premier League. Each league position is worth £3m per place, and each televised match in the UK generates approximately £1m.
A club source confirmed to Claret and Hugh this morning: “This season’s revenue will be lower than we budgeted for, and we have had far fewer TV games. United and Spurs, for example, were not televised—usually, they’re bankers. So, losses are at the top end or higher of our predictions.”
West Ham’s projected loss for next season, which starts in August, is estimated to be between £80m and £90m, with the saved wages of Danny Ings, Aaron Cresswell, and Łukasz Fabiański already factored into that negative figure.
Those losses are largely attributed to significant growth in amortisation of past transfers, including a further £34m hit for Todibo this summer.
I’ve read numerous articles on this black hole…and every journalist says we spent 150 million last season then adds the torbido money twice how many times do we have to pay 35 million for him . Total b s
How has it been possible for our Board members to make money in other businesses? WHU has all the ingredients to be successful and must be envied by far more competent owners. Get Sullivan and the rest of them on The Apprentice and let Sir Alan take the piss out of them, would be more entertaining than watching a home game.
Our Club, has been turned into a JOKE! all down to One Clown! We need a New OWNER!
There were 23+ comment on her last night. You have taken down all comments that dare question you & call you out as being Sullivan’s stooge
If it doesn’t fit the Sullivan & Brady narrative the posts get taken down! It’s like Trump being up for free speech as long as it’s propaganda that suits the orange one or in our case the vertically challenged one!
Actually, I take down offensive, insulting, threatening and abusive posts. Otherwise, write what you like but be respectful.
Nope, just taken down the offensive, insulting, abusive and threatening ones. Nobody has ab absolute ‘right’ to post here.
Never heard so much bs from sullys pupett.
34 mil for Todibo we all know that’s not paid in one big hit it’s spread out.
Pleading poverty is this what we moved for 10 years ago stadium brings in more revenue and we say we are skint so you and thw dwarf thibk us fans are stupid???.
You need to go on Stels show where us fans can challenge you no disrespect m8 but your just bs us m8
We don’t pay the Todibo transfer fee in one hit it’s over a period of time so the 34 million up front is rubbish. Normal Sullivan lies and propaganda served up as the truth. Maybe if Sullivan didn’t get second rate out of work managers then hang onto them for too long to save face and he’s ego before they get sacked. Maybe if Sullivan actually paid the clauses to release managers in work we wouldn’t be in the mess we are. Don’t you get fed up being Sullivan’s bitch and just churning out the same old crap every time a transfer window is around the corner.
Perhaps if the clown who keeps hiring second rate managers because they’re free actually spent some money on a decent in work manager we would have finished higher in the league and the price money might have been better. Cant sulli see this Sean?
They agreed a new record-breaking £6.7 billion domestic broadcasting deal. live Premier League matches will rise significantly in 25/26. It’s the largest sports media rights agreement ever concluded in the UK. Sky Sports for instance will broadcast at least 215 live matches next season compared to128 this season.
Massive increase in televised games next season is there not? so we should get money back.
Sean, in the title you talk about a £170 million loss. In the article you talk about £80 or £90 million. So, what is it? Was the title just scare mongering? Click bait?
Oh come on
I’m puzzled we sold Declan Rice and got about £120 million for him. We got one of the highest gates in the premier ship. Honestly this club is run by a bunch of crooks that take us for Mugs the quicker Sullivan is out the better
Are we already pleading poverty before the transfer window . What a surprise !!!come on teally
No European income and crappy , boring losing football suggests limited TV and a poor league finish which means low income . I wish it were different but Potter a mediocre coach will struggle to avoid relegation . Westham will lose some talented players and not be able to sign ‘A’ listers because of Westham’s poor situation . New ambitious ownership is required to modernize Westham in all respects . Sullivan and Co are more likely to oversee relegation .
