Sports website Football Insider has made a bold claim by revealing West Ham’s four-man striker shortlist. Ordinarily, such articles would be met with a yawn and a certain level of cynicism. However, the same website broke the news and pictures of Ruben Amorim’s trip to meet West Ham officials, so they have some credibility.
They claim the four chosen ones are; Ademola Lookman, Serhou Guirassy, Ivan Toney, and Youssef En-Nesyri, with the latter being a standout candidate. Whilst there are no huge surprises amongst the contenders, the website firmly nailed their colours to the mast (and covered their backs quite well) by making such a claim.
Toney needs no introduction to West Ham fans, although pairing him with Lucas Paqueta could prove an interesting headline maker for those with a bit of mischief.
En-Nesyri, 26, has previously worked with Julen Lopetegui at Sevilla, and West Ham has been linked with him for years.
Lookman, 26, scored a hat-trick in the Europa League final for Atalanta but hails from Wandsworth and was offered to the Hammers when he was at Charlton Athletic. . . whoops!
Guirassy, 28, has a £17 million release clause, is well known to Tim Steidten, but is attracting interest from numerous clubs.
Same as usual. Linked with everyone, nothing concrete. Fans are bored with this season after season.
Think you need a holiday
You missed out Armando Broja, Karim Adeyemi and Wilfred Zaha along with the other 20 odd so called strikers that C&H have linked us with. Maybe stop regurgitating articles from other sources to fill your own website and find some original and accurate information. Gonzo, u used to be one of the exceptions to the norm for C&H, but it seems like they have got u to also take on their click bait Manifesto! Come on mate, give us some decent and original accurate news instead of the repetitive merry go round for clicks that we are forever experiencing here!
Agree completely. Has there been a change of policy on what is posted? C&H used to be one of the few sites that offered reliable info without resorting to rumour-monging. We don’t need dozens of articles a day just to fill the space. Quality over quantity is always the way to go.
Why do you repeat all this rubblish, when you do have something true or even inportant to say No one will listen.
